What Is A Mini-implant? How does it work?

Mini-implants are miniature titanium posts that are surgically placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. The diameter of these mini-implants ranges from 1.8 mm to 2.3mm. The head of a mini-implant is shaped like a ball. The heads of the implants protrude from the gum tissue and provide a strong, solid foundation for securing your dentures.

Dentures that wobble and slip can cause sore spots in your mouth, affect your speech, and eating choices. Mini-implants can be placed in less than two hours. The base of your dentures can be modified to fit onto these mini-implants shortly after the surgery.

This is a very cost-effective way to stabilize your dentures and allow you to eat comfortably and talk with confidence.
